SASKATOON, June 29, 2015 – Muskoday First Nation has been named the winner of the Canadian Institute of Planners’ 2015 Vision in Planning Award for its land use code. The award was presented today during the CIP│SPPI THRIVE 2015 conference in Saskatoon, Sask.
Located northeast of Saskatoon, Muskoday First Nation is the national and provincial leader in adopting a land code under the First Nation Land Management Act in 1999, and developing a land-use plan in 2002. That plan has remained a vital document for the community and is being updated.
