• On May 26 and 27, 2011 Songhees First Nation voting members cast ballots to re assume jurisdiction over their lands and resources. A strong majority vote confirmed that the Songhees First Nation voting members wish to retake control of land governance under the Framework Agreement on First Nation Land Management.
