Workshop Description:

During this workshop, participants will examine key stages in the review of proposed land developments. Through discussions and scenarios, we will explore how these stages vary depending on the scale and complexity of a project. Guest speakers will share real-world experiences, offering insight into the strategies they used, what worked well, and the challenges they encountered along the way.

 

Objectives:

  • Examine key stages in the review process for proposed land development 
  • Contrast the review of simple and complex development projects 
  • Develop tools to assist in land development decision-making 
  • Hear First Nation perspectives and lessons learned related to the review of proposed developments 

 

Target Audience:

  • Operational, Developmental & Signatory First Nations, Land Governance Directors, Land Managers and Staff
