Objectives:
The First Nations Land Governance Registry (FNLGR) aims to establish a First Nation-controlled, independent land registry for Operational First Nations under the Framework Agreement, as well as for participating Self-Governing First Nations.
This conference will address a broad range of topics related to the creation and management of on-reserve land interests, guided by modernized regulations and registry standards under the new FNLGR.
We encourage you to attend this session to provide feedback and share insights as land professionals, applying a regional perspective to support the advancement of land governance and economic development on First Nation lands.
Target Audience:
- Operational and Participating Self-Governing First Nations: Land Governance Directors, Land Managers, Land Registry Staff, Band Administrators, Chiefs, and Councillors
- Other Land Professionals: Lawyers, lenders, real estate agents, appraisers, insurance providers, and related experts
