On Sunday, December 14, 2014, Shxwowhamel First Nation became the 53rd First Nation to ratify its community land code under the Framework Agreement on First Nation Land Management.  With an outstanding show of community support, 95% of Shxwowhamel First Nation voters cast their ballots, unequivocally deciding to reassume control over their community’s Land Governance.  Congratulations Shxwowhamel First Nation!
