Another Community Vote “YES”!
After voting to ratify its land code on August 11th and 12th, the Lower Nicola First Nation became the 63rd Operational signatory community under the Framework Agreement. It was yet another important moment in the history of the Framework Agreement as Lower Nicola First Nation members voted with a very clear majority that they wished to resume governance jurisdiction over their lands and resources, placing major decisions for their future solidly back into their own hands.
